Roundtable Luncheon
Mr. McGruder is a Partner and Co-Founder of Palm Beach Capital with nearly twenty years of private equity and M&A experience. Since co-founding Palm Beach Capital, he has been involved in all aspects of the fund raising, investment and portfolio management processes. Shaun has led a number of successful investments at the firm and has extensive experience working with middle market companies primarily in the healthcare, logistics and business service sectors. He currently is a board member of several of Palm Beach Capital portfolio companies.
Prior to Palm Beach Capital, Shaun served as Vice President of Finance at Workflow Management (Nasdaq: WORK) where he was in charge of acquisitions. In just three years, the company grew from $330 million in revenues to $650 million through the completion of over 30 acquisitions.
Shaun began his career with Bank of America in the Corporate Lending Group managing a portfolio of high growth middle market clients within the Mid-Atlantic region.
Shaun graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and earned his MBA at University of Richmond.

Marc is the co-founder of 747 Capital and a Managing Partner of the firm. Marc is actively involved in portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection. In addition, Marc oversees European business development efforts and serves as the Firm’s Chief Compliance Officer.
Marc is a member of the firm’s investment committee and serves on the advisory boards of various underlying portfolio funds. Marc has been making US private equity fund commitments since 1994.
Prior to forming 747 Capital, Marc was Executive Vice President of Greenfield Capital Partners, in New York, the US subsidiary of a Dutch private equity group. From 1992 to 1994, Marc was a private equity analyst at the Noro Group of Companies in the Netherlands. He started his career in 1989 with HomeBanc, a Savings and Loan in Atlanta.
Marc received a M.B.A. from the Nijenrode School of Business and a B.B.A. from the European University in Antwerp.

Gijs is the co-founder of 747 Capital and a Managing Partner of the firm. Gijs is actively involved in portfolio management, due diligence and manager selection. Gijs oversees many of the general management responsibilities within the firm. Gijs is a member of the firm’s investment committee and serves on the advisory boards of various underlying portfolio funds. Gijs has been active in private equity since 1995.
Prior to 747 Capital, Gijs was founder and General Partner of Triad Media Ventures, a $50 million venture capital fund that made direct investments in US companies. Gijs was Director of Financial Services for Icon International, a member of Omnicom Group. He started his career at the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency, a diplomatic function, in New York in 1993.
Gijs holds a M.B.A. in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a B.A. from Webster University.
